A number of companies have contacted our firm to say that they have received an unsolicited email purporting to be from “jared.turman@frankfrankgoldsteinnager.com” advising that our firm is “chasing an unpaid invoice” issued to the recipient company. The email also includes a link to an invoice which we can only assume is some sort of malware.
This email is not from our firm and the domain is not legitimate. Our firm’s domain name is “ffgnesqs.com”. Our firm would never send an email to a consumer of this nature and we certainly would not send one with threatening or hostile language.
Please do not click on the link in the email, and either delete the email or mark the email as spam. Our I.T. department is working to address this matter.
These kinds of scams are commonplace by impersonating legitimate firms with spoofed emails designed to trick companies into paying fines or settling debts that do not exist. If in doubt, be sure to contact the email sender by phone to verify the email’s legitimacy. Scams are also known to increase around tax filing season. Be on alert for emails that purport to be collecting a debt, contain suspicious links, or ask for financial information.
If you have any questions or wish to verify any communication please email us.
